URGENT APPEAL By labrador Rescue ON BEHALF OF MISTY A LOVELY YOUNG LABRADOR
the little yellow bitch on this picture is in our rescue she is only 8 months old she was brought in and they thought she had HD anyway its seems now that (subject to an XRay by our Vet) that her hip keeps dislocating.what is needed is an operation to break the pelvis and reset the whole lot this is going to cost a lot of money . What we need ideally is a home for her where the owner would care for her enough to not want walks or much till she is old enough and then have the operation done I will launch an appeal to help raise the money to hopefully pay or part fund for the operation. She is such a sweetie she has a beautiful nature loves everyone other dogs cats children etc.. Is there any help you can give and can you forward this to anyone who may want to help us Our funds struggle as we now run this place which costs £1000 a month + Anyhelp gratefully received.( apologies to those already supporting us)
Regards Glenys

Pickle said it was ok for me to post this. At the weekend pickle (kim) organised a raffle on behalf of the misty fund and she raised a wonderful £75.00 [:-angel] thank you so much kim it was fantastic of you to do it, well done carol x
Not good news at all the xray went ahead and technically Misty has No hip sockets at all a massive hip disability we are looking at major surgery Our appeal's success is now crucial as to wether this can take place as we do not have enough funds in the general fund to pay for it. Please forward our appeal to anyone who may help us if anyone is in journalism then can you help with a story. This dog is an angel we must help her.
have you thought about putting the appeal on dog chatter on dogpages. I think you would neeed to email ray the admin on there but i have seen other rescues do this in urgent situations
I have two options at the moment which I could try one is we see the specialist with Annie tommorow and he is a labrador man I am hoping to take the XRays with me and see what he says and another possibility is someone may offer her a home and he is a Vet so meanwhile Im trying to get as much help as possible . No wonder the little lamb looks a bit sad at times she must have been in a lot of pain. We need to also weigh up the fact that artificial hips dont last for a lifetime and she is only young. All these things I may have answers to tommorow when I see Annies Surgeon
Glenys I have sent a payment by paypal. I will need to get the bank option sorted I think I have the form but sent it via paypal due to the urgency of the appeal.
Sorry if I have confused you. I thought I got a letter that will let me make a donation straight from my account to the rescue. Was I seeing things ;-) ??
Pam, I have paid for a few things by BACS, is that what you mean. It goes straight from your own account into the Rescue Account. You get the banking details from Glenys.
